Randal Cutter on the Innovation Table

It was a great meeting with our mayor, Scott Brook, and many other community leaders this morning for the Innovation Table. The Innovation Table is one of Scott's personal initiatives that draw's a creative group of people together to brainstorm solutions to problems we face in our community or culture.

We normally meet for coffee, but during this pandemic season, you have to bring your own to the Zoom meeting. Even though we are not together in person, the ideas still flowed this morning. Great meeting!

The candidates for the Coral Springs Commission, Seat 3, had their Sun-Sentinel interview today. As a part of the discussion, we were asked how we would meet the needs of the city’s budget in the coming years. I gave a comprehensive answer in the time allowed, but also told them that as a commissioner I would make certain that we marketed our community, which is among the safest in Florida, to the businesses who are fleeing from the cities around the country because they are no longer confident that they can protect their people or their property.

I am committed to keeping Coral Springs safe and to continue to develop its business community in creative ways so that our residents do not have to shoulder the city budget in an ever-increasing manner. The video of the interview will be available in the near future!
